Vere Hill, BBA (Fin), MBA, FICB (Hons) - Managing Director(MD)

Born and raised in Antigua, Mr. Vere I. Hill received his secondary education at the Antigua Grammar School.  He subsequently continued his studies in the United States, earning an MBA from Howard University.  Mr. Hill has completed the Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB) designation at the end of August 2007.

Mr. Hill has acquired a wealth of experience in Information Systems, Business Development and Client Relationship at organizations such as Price Waterhouse and the Antigua Public Utilities Authority.

Mr. Hill has developed considerable expertise in Strategic Management.  In addition to his ten years of experience in banking, he has pursued formal training in various aspects of banking and finance; consequently, he has developed a significant arsenal of knowledge and skills that are directly applicable to his role as Managing Director of the bank.  He is also one of its first Directors, having been appointed to the Board in 2005.

In his present capacity, Mr. Hill must be credited with the organizational restructuring of the bank for greater efficiency.  His strong organizational skills and his emphasis on human resources development are evidenced in his approach to management.  One of his strengths is his ability to create practical solutions to his clients’ problems, which he enjoys tremendously.

Mr. Hill has always been keenly interested in charitable endeavours and in community development.  He is currently Treasurer of the Diocese of the North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba.  He also served as a past Vice-President of the Rotary Club of Antigua, Sundown.
