Comparable to our merchant services offering to “brick and mortar” local businesses, we provide a similar service for online businesses world wide.  As an acquiring bank we connect online merchants with credit card issuing banks completing the link necessary for electronic commerce.  When a customer agrees to an online purchase and enters his or her credit card information, it travels first to the merchant, who sends it along to the acquiring bank, CUB.  We then process the transaction and forward the sales information request straight to the issuing bank.  The issuing bank responds with an approval or decline.
